Hi mel, i really dont know what to do now, the happy shopper was a pretty good name, catchy and memorable, but think about it, if someone mentions to you "the happy shopper" what comes to mind? crap coffee!! lol, i wouldnt imagine many would stop by for clothes & accessories, i was thinking of opening another store one for clothes etc and the other for all the hardware & household, but thinking of names to suit is puddling me, suppose i could use the happy shopper for the hardware etc,

Why did you remove the name 'The Happy Shopper' anyway. If you goto Companies House http://wck2.companieshouse.gov.uk/bc...essCompanyInfo
and put a search in under The happy Shopper it does not appear. In fact there are 5 'Happy Shopper' variants.

So technically you were not breaking any laws. Don't bother to contact the company because they will not do anything anyway.

What you do have to be carefull of thou is that if you are selling to make a profit as most people are, you may need to register yourself within 3 months with the tax man. I suggest you read up on the legalities so you don't get caught out with anything.

There used to be a chain of shops or brand name by the name of "The Happy Shopper". - They used to sponsor cricket umpires, I don't know if they are still around though.
