Hi Joanie. Do you know if you are having a boy or girl yet?
We have a Primark near us, and the baby clothes are very cheap but good quality. I can remember scouring jumble sales for baby clothes. It's a bit easier now with all the charity shops and car boot sales. No point in buying the first size new anyway as they grow out of them so quickly. I always made sure they had 1 new dress though, especially for them. [I had 4 daughters]. I still keep an eye out as I am a grandmother of 7 with another one due in May, and the Great Grandmother to 1 little girl.

I went to the sales yesterday with a load of gift vouchers and got nothing, so I'm putting them away for a rainy day!

Good advice about not getting all 1st size clothes from dragonmist, I had so many 1st size things loads never got used, and you never know what baby’s weight will be, my friend's baby was 10LB 6oz born so no 1st size clothes fitted. LOL

My 2nd daughter was about 13lb. She broke the spring balance scales that the midwife brought out which only went up to 8lb, and we had to use my husband's fishing scales, which only went up to 13lb. The pointer hit the bottom and stayed there. She went straight into clothes meant for a 3 month old baby.

    Wink Primark

Good advice about primark, I just mix the stuff from there with stuff I buy from next/Gap/mothercare. I also find Tesco's babygros/vests really good value. I wait til they have a 20% off sale and buy them then! My bedroom wardbrobe has a big box on top of it full of the next few sizes for my baby. Who by the way is 7 months & called Grace.

Ps Tescos do loads of unisex stuff so you can stock up without having to worry about the sex of the babe.

Have a lovely new year, speak soon x
