Default No options with new invoicing system

Hi Gazza. I have just sent my first invoice using your new invoicing system. I am really pleased with this facility but I notice that the buyer cannot change any details once the invoice has been sent. I offer a choice of 1st or 2nd class postage and also Recorded Delivery but the new invoicing system does not allow for any options on the invoice and the figures cannot be changed once sent. I thought that I might be able to send an amended invoice instead if for example the buyer decided they wanted to use another delivery option but you cannot send an amended invoice either. There doesn't seem much point in offering a choice of postage options if you have to decide what the buyer will want when you send the invoice. Would it be possible to include a drop down menu so the buyer can make choices when paying? Hope that all make sense!!!

Why not email the customer and ask before doing the Invoice

I thought the new invoicing facility was supposed to give the site a more professional approach and speed things up. As a buyer myself I just want to see the options in front of me so I can choose what I want there and then. What I don't want is to have to start e-mailing sellers with my preferred delivery requirements before I can pay if I can simply choose it from an invoice. The invoice sent looks very similar to that from ebay but without any options. I was just trying to ascertain how easy it would be to include a drop down menu on the invoice to avoid unecessary e-mails and delays with processing orders.

At the moment the seller has the option to choose the shipping method from a dropdown before the invoice is sent. Once the invoice has been sent it is set.

The invoicing system is in it's very first incarnation. Any changes you wish to see please tell us.

Thanks Gazza. As a seller I offer a choice of delivery options and prices to my buyers and I would like to be able to incorporate this in my invoice. At the moment I am going to have to decide for the buyer which option/price they want to pay which may not be what the buyer would have chosen. There isn't much point me submitting a listing offering potential buyers 1st or 2nd class unless like Ken has suggested I e-mail every buyer and ask them before invoicing. It might upset some buyers if I decide to charge for 1st class post and they only wanted to pay for 2nd. It would be great if the choice could be integrated. Best wishes

I haven't had to use it yet but there is a UK postage and overseas pricing option so presumably I pick that before creating the Invoice.

I offer a choice of 1st or 2nd on most items.
Will have to rethink this till something sorted.
