Thread: Communication between Buyer and Seller - via listing ASQ

  1. #1

Default Communication between Buyer and Seller - via listing ASQ

Hi - Just a word of warning - though I'm sure no-one else is this silly!

I was asked several questions via ASQ on a listing by the same potential buyer - the person wanted a few of my items made into sets (jewellery) - so I said I would adjust the listing so everything was included with the final price and P&P. Rather than muck around with lots of listings.

Unfortunately I closed the original auction so no-one else could buy (as I only had one of that item) without thinking about the problem of communicating with my potential buyer. Once the listing is closed the ASQ does not continue - Repost that item and its a new auction with new id number.

I have just sent a message through 'Private Messages' just hope it reaches its destination. The ASQ link in listings does not contain any way to contact the buyer/seller apart from the Q&A' you can read at the bottom of the listings.

So moral of the story is - check your contact details before removing listings! I think 'Silly' and 'Billy' come to mind - apart from other things that are probably unrepeatable!!

    Red face

I really wish the passing of messages were a bit more private. I mean, it should be really, like they do on feepay, but then, I s'pose it depends on what came with the auction script

I mean, suppose if I really wanted a pair of mens underpants and I needed to know if they did them in a certain size?

    I couldn't ask discreetly now could I?

C'mon G&M give us some PM's on the auction site please

    Talking

Mmm - could be something even more embarrassing than underpants - not sure what!!!

Fortunately for me my buyer did receive and follow up my PM. but I did find if a quite 'clunky' way to do business.
