One of the most useful features with NoChex, and one of the most under-used, is their feedback system

Buyers and sellers can leave each other feedback on NoChex - but how many bother?

I tend to use it religiously because of being so distant from my buyers (I like to be able to see who's who, and how they conduct transactions) but so few people bother that it's seriously devaluing a very useful tool.

A lot of people seem to complain in this thread about PayPal lockouts and NoChex fees for loading money / making payments through them - I must have been lucky, I;ve had none of those problems in 4 years ...... but then I respond quickly to requests for information / ID proof, and most importantly I communicate with them when there are issues.
I also read the instructions and online help /procedures carefully and make sure I understand them before trying out a new function - I know some people just bumble along doing what they think is the right thing, then get problems.

It should also be remembered that the majority of users, use both serbices without any problems.

Wish I could say the same for ppPay, although I can do that for MoneyBookers.

    Thumbs down Re

    Hi

Ive just seen this one, I prefer PPPay.com/Cheques.

After the recent hassle I have had on both FeeBay & Paypal, theres no way I would use again. Paypal have made my account go in red, because they kept issuing echeques, instead of instant payment.

JUST SAY NO TO PayPal & FeeBay.

Smile Bank Transfer Free To Send And Receive !

    BANK TRANSFER.

Free to send and receive within the UK.
£2 fee for items under £20 in Europe.
Tiered fee structure for rest of world.
Ze Germans prefer bank transfer and use it de rigeur.

If your buyer has the same bank as you, you receive their money the instant they send it. Other banks take a maximum of 3 days.

You are both covered by your bank's own anti-fraud policies in the event of buyer using stolen card/bank details, though they would have to be an exceptionally gifted PC hacker to access online banking.

Sending your account number, sort code and name over the internet is no different to sending your account number, sort code and name by cheque, excpet with cheques there is more risk as you include a signature and often your home address too.

8 out of 10 of my buyers use bank transfer, which is promotion enough in itself!

    payment methods i use etc

NOT paypal as they can freeze your money for 180 days without reason.(www.paypalsucks.com)

PPPay is expensive unless you have a balance and costs to withdraw to your bank account.

Nochex www.nochex.co.uk is cheaper than paypal and supports sellers with regards to fraud and charge backs. (uk only)

Moneybookers www.moneybookers.com is cheaper than paypal and offers escrow (uk and international)

auctionchex www.auctionchex.com cashes money orders and international chqs....very handy!! and can accept payments from uk and international buyers and bacas, mails payment to you, puts it into your paypal etc loads of options.

and bank transfer, free and fast!!! if you have internet banking its very easy to use!!!

I fav is nochex and auctionchex

loads of options...........but paypal is tooo risky to much fraud etc.

Default How does paypal work in ebid

I would appreciate if someone can tell be how paypal works in ebid when checking out - in a seller's point of view.

Is ebid integragrated with paypal like ebay is?

Or do you need to add your shopping cart link to process your customers payment?

also does any one know how to process combine shipping. Is this even possible in ebid?

    Thanks.

paypal is owned by EBAY, so not intergrated here on EBID. If you want to offer paypal at the moment you need to send out your own paypal invoice once an auction completes. Same with combined postage. There are some site updates due soon which 'may' help with the second point.
