Angry Premium Bonds Do you have any ?

Last year i purchased some and went onto their website at the end of the first month, I was horrified to see that no low purchase winners had won any major prizes ? If you had between £100-£5000 of Bonds the prizes seemed low yet if you had £20,000 + Then Yahoo you were in ?

Eg: It Showed the total Value that the Winner had in Bonds.

When i revisited the web page some months later i could not access this info.

Read what Martyn Lewis has to say..........

I've had 16 for over 30 years and won 50 quid once, If i had more i would cash them in but can't be bothered for 16 pounds. I would not buy any more though.

I've had 3 for about 35 years, never won anything, someone i know had 20,000 (or more) & was winning £50 per month.

I have thought about getting more but after reading this thread i might not bother.

My auctions, good prices, fair p&p.

    I've had £12 worth for 40 years & only won £50

Last November, I invested £3000 & so far this year I have recieved £800.

2 years ago I read a piece which said that if you could afford to put the cash to one side, PBs were a better investment than putting the same amount into the Lottery or even a fund.
I mentioned this to a friend who is an Independant Financial advisor & he laughed at the idea.
I recently heard him advising somebody to buy PBs if they wanted a safe investment.
Nowt here so don't bother looking

I have £500 invested in Premium Bonds (but only for the past year) so can't complain that I haven't won anything yet but according to Martin Shankleman(sp?) at MoneySavingExpert.com I'm wasting my time and my money would be better going on the Lottery ! or in the Bank

    Here's his thoughts:
