Thread: Any Help needed for selling

  1. #1

Question Any Help needed for selling

    Hi all,

I've been a member on ebid for a while now.

The thing is, No matter how hard I try I don't seem to sell, & its not that im charging expensive for my handicraft jewellery or greetings cards.

Im thinking maybe its the way I take my photos, word my auctions, or the way I take the photos.

So if someone has a great idea, or just some idea, please can you let me know. Ive not got much on at the moment. But will put more on as soon as I have some help.

    Much Appreciated folks

    Thanks very much
    June

    Hi June

I am very new here and as I wanted to try out first I just went onto the Silver listings with no gallery pic, but I do find it is useful to make my avatar a thumbnail pic of some of my cards and include a link to your auctions on the bottom of you messages while on the forum.

I have had one sale and will have another one in a couple of days. Not sure whether it was because of the forum here or just people browsing.

Good photos help and I think one big advantage here is how big the photos on the listings are compared to 'the other side'!

Hope you are more successful and I will check out your stuff again when you have a bit more listed.

    All the best

    Jo

I do think good picture is very important. But i haven't got my first sell yet... I don't understand why nobody buy here even it's cheaper than in e**y. Maybe just there are not enough buyers here.

Im surprised you havnt sold more june, i of course bought the amiga lot from you last month and all the other amigas you had on as well were very very decent prices. Unfortunately Mrs manstomar is sick of the 3 sega megadrives, the 40 sega games, the gameboy advance, the 3 pcs, the amiga games and the ps2.....so i couldnt have any more of you

As a seller of some jewellery, both on & offline, i gotta say your jewellery is very fairy price and much better than most i have seen on here............perhaps its just a matter of patience................or an early death, not sure which will come first actually

    Unhappy

I am a newbie and I am also selling jewellery - mostly my own designs and handmade by myself. I am also waiting for my first sale. I've put things on for 70p going up to cover a good price range.

I've done a bit of buying to collect some feedback, but wondering if having a low feedback score puts people off buying from me?

I will carry on listing items to get a greater selection on show. I've been making and selling jewellery for 16+ years and one thing I found is you can never have too much for people to choose from.

alison, you have nothing on your All About Page - it may help to use that space to give a few customer testomonials perhaps? If you sell on Ebay, then say something about the great feedback you've received on there.
I think that not enough sellers are using the All About Page to their advantage - it's a place to set give a glimpse to the buyer as to how much you can be trusted and if you have a pleasant tone.
