item receieved does not match the auction picture..

I bought a belt from a seller on ebid recently from the USA, receieved the belt but the its different to the belt in the auction. the pciture int he auction shows the printing inside the belt aswell as outside, plus has additional stitching. I emailed the buyer twice to ask for their views and didnt recv a reply from them. I then found another auction they have and asked a question on that to see if i would get a answer. surprise, surprise I got a immediate answer from them saying that threatning is not the way to go about things. I personally dont think i threatend them i merely pointed out that if they do not reply to my question i will have to take it a step further and ask my credit card company to question the transaction as the goods i have got do not match the description I bought from.
now this belt was a little more expensive than the others on ebay but it looked better quality from the picture, however i could have bought the cheaper one now knowing what i've got.

I've never had a problem on ebid before everyone has always been so helpful but this seller has no feedback, but still has 90 auctions listed.


below is the q&a session i had with them yesterday but then no reply.... any help or advise on what to do next, or shall i just leave negative feedback and contact my credit card company...

Question : hi there i bought one of these belts and have sent two emails on the subject, the belt recvd does not look like the belt on your auction. can you please reply asap otherwise i will return the belt and ask my credit card to issue a chargeback. i want to work it out rather than do this but your not replying to any of my mails.. thanks robert

Question : i certiainly did not think i'm threatning you however if you consider that i was threatning you i apologise.i was mearly stating that if you were out to rip people off then i would be surprise over such a small amount and its easily obtainable back from my credit card company, obviously my wife is disappointed that the belt likes unlike the belt in your auction and her immediate reaction was disappointment. i have checked the spam filter and nothing recvd, i sent an email yesterday and one this evening to you and i've not recvd a reply to either, so i'm sure you can understand i was becoming a little anxious on the situation. I will contact ebid personell aswell because i was concerened that you had no feedback but lots of auctions and i though you may have been a scammer ie grab the money send inferior goods and run, you obviously arent but i didnt know what else to expect. if you look on ebid there are more lv belts but you picture was the best thats why we wanted to buy from you, however we buy alot from ebid and the belt matches one we got from deebags (no longer on ebid) but we paid alot less than we did you, also meg*** have the same belt but its cheaper aswell. i would have preferred you to email us first to say look the belt i'm sending is different , now i've got to send the belt back to you which is more money (which i dont think is fair that i should have to pay )and time aswell, both of which i think you feel the same you could do without.

Question : I'm sorry but I've still not recvd a reply from you. I appreciate that you may have more pressing things but it's important to us. i could have become a good customer of yours and I'm only realising how lucky i was that i only bought one item from you. i would really apprecaite an answer to why the belt we have recvd looks different to the belt in the picture.

With only one feedback you were taking a risk to some extent, however I agree your message does not seem threatening. I would offer him a final chance to resolve amicably, then neg if you receive nothing.

thanks for the response. yeah i agree about the neg, but there are still loads of her auctions on ebid plus there are still using the same picture as the one which we bought from, so therefore other people are likely to be conned. shame its her first feedback and its going to be a neg. i would think that if someone is out to con people all they have is 20.00 odd pounds, hardly seems worth it but i guess it takes all sorts.

If she is advertising genuine goods and sending out fake goods email support@ebid.tv and report it.

As for no feedback..lol I would say about 80% of sellers on e.bid have little or no feedback as weve all just flown the coup for Greedbay

hi left feedback for my items last night and this morning I've woke up this morning to see if the seller will do anything and now cant access my account. i'm assuming she left a a neg by return and ive probably been suspended. i still have many items to come from other sellers but i cant access them if something goes wrong.


to be honest i think i'll just stick to the other auction sites now so just want to clear my items from the others sellers and this account can be closed.

i'm livid at ebid, i emailed them, i posted threads and got no help at all why the seller seems free to con others people even though with my negs she was on -2.

yes well i knew that they were coming does that mean my account is suspended then? even though i have done nothign wrong, no wonder nobody leaves negs, I had 4 positives before that and potential of another 5. Plus I still need to pay for auctions i have won, what happens to those.

But you only just bought 2 of the items today at 9.31 GMT , ebid will see this and i doubt that you will get your account back. why did you bid on more stuff today and neg her for it, did you not realize you would get neged back and lose your account.
I think you may have to do some serious grovelling to get it back.
