    LOL

Yep your statement is correct allan, PO would off retained the logbook and a new one sent out to danny, but that is where the problem lays we don't have the logbook, when he brought the car they could not find it, and because Danny didn't do anything about it then, but waited untill now when tax is due, well it's his own fault he can't get the tax.

LOL cost him 25.00 yesterday to send off form on next day delivery and for the cost of another log book. and the car still gonna be off of the road on Friday,

    'Fraid not Bob.
    I asked LVLO about that.

"I have insurance, you can check on your computer, and a new style MOT. Can I tax the vehicle using the registration number and V5 document reference number if the V5 is still in the previous owners name?"
"Sorry, all documents must be in the same name. You will have to get a V5 in your name before you can tax it. The document reference number only relates to the current registered keeper, and you will get a different reference number on the new V5, so we can't do it."

Apparantly the reference number on the V5 refers to DVLA's computer files on the owner, mot and insurance details which is why the new V5 will have a different number.

Isn't technology a wonderful thing ? It can also be a pain in the 'rse !
