Hello everyone at ebid, I've just joined.
Hope you are friendly!
I'm a refugee from the other site (I'm sure you know which one). I have a shop over there and a 100% positive feedback of 658 but like everyone else it seems, I'm about to close it and try setting up here.
I'm currently doing my bit in the other place to try and promote this place for all I'm worth and I hope to bring as many of my customers over with me as possible. Hope noboby minds.
I sell books, antiques, candle moulds, silk screen printing equipment and fire juggling equipment (to mention just a few). I buy lots of books and antique pots so hopefully you've got some stuff over here for me to buy too.
I live in Shropshire in the UK. And I'm incredibly handsome (I might have made that last bit up :-)

Hi stated to try and sell. I asm having trouble with my pictures.
If you are an older person then sorry I dont understand what the technical stuff is saying to me.
what is shrinking sorry cant even list without a photo.
not a good start.
sorry to say but at the moment I have been trying for an hour
and dont understand shrinking or anything like it .
can see the picture but htm and kpg is like double dutch.
I thought great cheaper by far than ebay looks grat lets get started then dead stop.
why is there no option for no photo if you are thick like me, then when my son comes home he can put a picture in for me and explain it to me.
seems that this is for people that are computer literate.
and not for people like me.

I'm sorry your first experience of eBid seems to have been a negative and disappointing one, but do persevere as it really is less complicated than ebay once you get used to it

Putting a photo with your item is just a case of clicking on browse..... choose the photo you wish to use (that will then come up into a gallery underneath) click on the "use this photo in my auction" option and bob's yer uncle ....... it's there ! I find that the eBid programme shrinks my photos for me ... they will only allow a certain size.

I hope I haven't made it sound even more complicated...... I'm not very good at giving instructions

When you mention "older person" did you mean yourself ? I'm 'knocking-on' a bit and don't do technical stuff, but I've mastered eBid and I'm sure you will too if you just persevere a little longer.

Wow potpaul it sounds like you sell great stuff. I'm not sure how to find you listings though so maybe you could put a link through.

Also is there any kind of referer system on here. I'm not even sure if that is the right word for it. Where you link shops together?? If so I'd like to link up!
