Terrible trading policy

i have never come to a site so tedious and difficult to integrate with in my entire experience on the interent.

i have money to spend, if I 'buy now' surely this could entitle me to purchse regardless of my user rating.

what kind of commerce is this, this is stupid and idiotic, idiotic of ebid, and moronic of sellers.

I also have paid for gold access, ...

I understand that this could be palmed off as preventing risk of fraud, but this is a stupid system.

dont even attempt to compare your prices with ebay....they are in a different league (completely) to be honest i feel very hard done by and dissatisfied that i took the trouble to sign and part with my subscription money and cant even walk away with the items i intended to buy.

I don't think it is stupid trying to prevent fraud. I agree it is different from ebay. But what problem are you having exactly.

Wasn't the feedback needed to bid system implemented in the early days from before you had to pay to be Gold status?
Would sellers that use the feedback law not be happy for Gold status members to bid on their items regardless of feedback,very unlikely if they've paid ebid they're looking to mess around?

Hi, if you see an item that you would like to bid on or buy just asq the seller and I am sure they will gladly allow you to bid or buy the item. A lot of sellers myself included do not put restrictions on our buyers.

I think at one time the restrictions you could put on were bronze, silver and gold and they it changed to a number system. But i could be wrong on that as it was way back when

Confused meself there..
I'm basically saying that sellers blocking 'buyers with low feedback',probably wouldn't want to block 'buyers with low feedback but have paid for Gold status'.
Since unlike your average low feedbacker a Gold status low feedbacker will be more likely to complete the purchase..I think.

Its up to the seller to decide this, I dont think its stupid, particularly on higher value items.
I do understand your frustration mind! Like afore mentioned, your seller may well change the listing for you, once you explain your situation .
Ebay does actually have a similar system where sellers can block buyers with minus feedback.
I think Ebid is overall better than ebay, it is still quite new and doesnt have the funds of ebay- give it time, and do your bit to promote it- the future looks very promising , I ve seen many big changes since I joined last month.

Ebay has a minimun feedback rating for bidding as well, in fact most auction sites probably do if the seller wants to use it,

It is up to the seller if he wishes to use block buyers with low feedback from bidding. If eBid didnt offer this service they wouldnt be proffessional

As for gold status, if you came intending just to buy, then why sign up for it?, IMHO, the detailing of what each subscription enables you to do, is clearly designed for the user to decide what benefits he would get from each subscription and whether that subscription is right for them
