LISTING ITEMS & choosing subcatagory

Hello,
I hope this make sense, when I list each items I choose fine jewellery as my subcatagory , I have rings, bracelets,pendants, earrings ETC
these items only show up in fine jewellery which is ok but I would like them also to appear in the main catogory as well different types of jewellery earrings in earrings rings in rings etc,at the moment my items show up in my store WHICH IS FINE!! ii have now taken them off fine jewellery and put them in the different types of jewellery ie rings in rings pendants in pendants as they were not being look at enough in the fine jewellery section now my items are being looked at more.
IT WOULD BE NICE IF ALL ITEMS SHOW UP IN ALL THE JEWELLERY SECTIONS as a lot of people look for the item say rings and choose that catagory,
CAN WE HAVE THE CONNECTION SET UP FOR ALL THE JEWELLERY SO PEOPLE CAN SEE THEM IN MAIN PAGE AND SUBCATAGORY'S I HOPE YOU SEE WHAT I MEAN. AS i WOULD LIKE MY JEWELLERY TO BE IN FINE JEWELLERY AND SHOW UP IN THE OTHER TYPES OF JEWELLERY AS WELL.

Ruth you can have your items show in a second category as well (just found this out today). It's at the features section at the bottom of the listing form and costs 5p for the 2nd category.

We are in the middle of updating the jewellery section to have product subcategories for fine jewellery , costume jewellery etc.

The product subcategories we currently have will then be removed.
