Thread: 02 free texts

  1. #1

    Default 02 free texts

i HATE sending text messages - unlike my 18yo who can whizz off a 2000 word essay in 30 seconds

Just signed up for O2 so that I can send text messages from my mobile but from my PC, as I am usually sat at the PC anyway ! It's fab - 10 free text messages when you sign up (and it does work) and you can top up your text account online as well (and top up your phone).

    I'm easily impressed, I know

It does cost to send them on yahoo, yes. It's 10p a text and you pay for it via your phone bill. I use it only to send long texts as I hate texting!

thanks for the site toilet_uk !

I tried a free texting thing before and it took the money off of the phone you sent it to thought and the text was surrounded with adverts and conditions of the free text site and was hard to make out the message/

Do u know if this one is like that? as I dont want to test txt myself in case it charges me like some other "free" ones do actually meaning only free to the sender lol

I can not stand texting. Unless its to the kids, when they are out and about and people who dont have a pc ... even then i resent it

Dont know why, it really gets on my nerves. I always feel obliged to reply aswell, which annoys me.

Why text IF you can email ?

I have had a go at the cbfsms account - the text message doesn't look it came from my phone though - the one on 02 does, that was what I was looking for specifically (and didn't say)

I have bought a new sim card with the 300 free texts on - you have to top up a tenner every month to get the free texts which isn't bad - although I will struggle to spend a tenner a month even ! The problem now is that I will have to carry 2 phones - my business phone with my old number on (because my cards and leaflets have that number on) and my new phone with the new sim with the 300 texts on.

    I hate texting lol
