Fairywishes , Im not being funny but I reckon short visits
every now and then to forums are much better than sitting
for hours on end waiting for something to happen !
Ive been on a lot more this week but only because I took
time off from work as I twisted my ankle !
Now I cant wait to get back into the swing of work !
The way I look at it is , do as much as you can now so you dont regret things in future years !
Hours are precious periods of time !

I understand what you are saying discotex.

But what some people have forgotten (and that is why I sometimes get annoyed at people banging on about getting a life) that forums are the life for some people, they could be old with no friends, they may not be able to get about as much as other peeps, there could be a number of reasons why peeps are constantly on line, when my dad was alive I tried to get him to have a computor to communicate with the outside world, he was housebound, the only reason he did'nt ge one was because really he was scared of technology, if he did have one it would of opened a whole new life for him.

So please spare a thought for these peeps.

Why bang on about being in the forums ? does it matter

Totally agree with you Mimms re :forums being a Godsend
for some people ! Fairywishes seems to want to do other things,
so I meant her specifically should go offline and grab more opportunities !

I could do with getting an extra life or two if anyones selling them :

I'm employed and self employed - and the two jobs added together feel like 25 hours a day!

I'm a single mum; As hobbies I run a music fans website; I run a military website; I've just set up an ice skating website for my daughter ( oops- these arent really off line lives are they!) - I take my daughter skating twice a week.
We ( daughter and I ) look after two pet guinea pigs and a tank full of tropical fish.

Occasionally I do housework- and even less occasionally I wash the car

    Hi all, especially Mogmog *wow*

I am due to start an Access course in September which I hope will lead me onto a degree course in Midwifery. How did you find the course?

I am currently F/T mum of 3 and whilst I have loved being at home am straining at the leash to get back to college!

I'm a BT Engineer, fitting and fixing phone lines.
When I'm not doing that I dabble at Model Engineering, going to a machine shop club once a week.
I sit on the board of a local Housing Association that meets once a month but involves community work as and when demand dictates.
I occaisionally have a go at making jewellery and leatherwork. Most of the rest of my spare time is spent reading.
