thats a link to NPB listings for Ebid ~ theres also a link to add HTML warning to your auctions that you share Non Paying Bidders information. I used to use that all the time on my auctions, but havent done recently, but think i may well start again.

P.S. This is in response to whether there is a communal listing available for NPB by the way!!
I am not sure if it is still running as I have had this link since I started selling on Ebid back in 2004, but the warnings themselves are worth adding to your auctions as they stand out and no-one could avoid seeing them when viewing any of your auctions!

UPDATE : I have just emailed the address given on the NPB list to see if it is still up and running, but it seems not as the email has been returned *mailbox unavailable* ~ would any of you be interested at all in adding NPB to a central listing for anyone to link to so they can check the lists if they have any suspicions about a bidder/buyer/seller??? I could look into setting a new one up if anyone thinks its worthwhile. Will check back later to see if anyone gives it a thumbs up or thumbs down

ANYTHING with a Nigerian connection should be treated with caution. I used to work at a specialist branch of a high street bank (all the customers were overseas residents/nationals) and we received many fraudulent letters requesting the transfer of funds from customers' accounts. In one year there were 45 attempts at fraud totalling about £2m (yeah, they used to REALLY try it on and probably still do) and every single one had a Nigerian connection. Of course, I'm not saying that all Nigerians are fraudsters, but too many are.

    Hi,

My Brother was asked to take part in a Nigerian scam, it involved going to Holland & transferring money somehow, he lives in the Czech Republic, so it seems they are trying it on everywhere.

My auctions, good prices, fair p&p.

    Default Fraudulant Purchasing

Just had a 'sale' of mobile from following person:

    Username : theresakirkham
    Name : Theresa Kirkham
    Email : theresakirkham@racemail.com
    Address : 10 boulevard street
    Greenwich
    Londonderry
    se10yt
    United Kingdom

Note 'Londonerry not London but a SE post code!!!

NB: Already (within) 15minutes of auction end) asked me to post to NIGERIA.

    PLEASE BE WARNED EVERYONE!!!!

(I recently had a recent similar case on another auction site - They even sent me, what on first glance appeared to be a Genuine PPAL email, but was full of silly spelling errors - BE WARNED - IT LOOKED GENUINE!!!!)
If in doubt - check with & forward to ppal (or whoever) for verification & DO NOT send goods.
Hope this is not too late for you!!!
    Mike

They've bid on 6 other items too, you need to leave them a neg feedback to alert other sellers and e-mail support@ebid.tv to get the scammer banned.
