Okay anyone here Knit

My mum used to knit years ago, now I have lost my dad have decided to try and get my mum knitting again, think she needs to do something as she is very lonely.

Does anyone know of a website who sell cheap wools,patterns needles ect.

It will be me most probly buying everything

my daughter was in the local paper few wks back for knitting. LOL ... With some princes trust thing. She has been in the newspaper so many times, But never for knitting before.

My mum was the BEST knitter i have ever seen in my life. No bull. I see lotsa good knitters but she was a perfectionist and fingers went like lightening.

She taught me but i was useless. I tried again recently but was still useless. LOL

I have just bought a new sewing machine from catalogue ( waiting for delivery ) think ill stick to sewing.

What do you call cheap mimms ? I got some dirt cheap needeles off ebay, then i went to john lewis and they are only £140 - £3 a pair of needles and have some of the most beautiful wools. 100s to choose from from 49p a ball up to £4 odd for the lovely posh ones.

Thought of looking for them there and see some good stuff Cheap, Then looked in here and found someone selling some patterns,

LOL my mum ain't gonna whats hit here when I walk in with an armfull of wool and needles.

My mother in law knits like a demon - I have some patterns I saved, some baby stuff, older kids stuff and adults stuff. I think some of them were in American sizes (needles) I will see if I have a conversion somewhere.... will email the stuff over to you Mimms
