    Great article here

    .
Thats interested, i didnt realise ( DOH! ) that it would be different on diff size monitors. Ok ... explains a lot.
If i went back to 800 x 600 id go blind.

Im sure my monitor is only 17" but on the box ( Its a flat panel tft ) it said Manufacturers instructions was to set at 1280 x 1024 ... Anything other than this makes the text fuzzy ... Now that im used to this size it does not seem small at all. When designing and i have changed to other res temp, to see what it looks like its made good designs / websites look TERRIBLE.

So maybe thats why everyone has their knickers in a twist ? No one seeing it as intended / designed to be seen ?

I've just upped to 1024 (17" monitor) and I can barely see what I'm typing here....

I won't....I'm going back to 800, I seriously can't see. There's loads of empty space on the pages too, and the front page...well, what can I say?

On my Monty Python site the ratio is:

    1024 x 768 - 54%
    800 x 600 - 22.56%

    So, as Abraham Lincoln said,
"You can please some of the people all of the time,
and you can please all of the people some of the time,
but you can't please all of the people all of the time."

I'm not moaning about it though the only problem is that it is making my eyes sting when trying to concentrate on listing. What you have to remember is that as you age your eyes become more sensitive.

I love the new features but the colour scheme is killing me

I see everything as I should, my res is high enough but still find the home page messy although logging on this evening after being at market all day I felt that it looked better tonight lol so whether there have been more changes mabye some boxes around things which personally I find helpful but would learn to live without lol if it's what people want.

So, has it been improved since last night? Or am I getting used to it? I honestly found it a tad easier tonight until my eyes started to water and sting - sorry folks it's the colour it hurts!

I have a 15" flat screen monitor. Anything larger wouldn't fit in the space allocated for it, and I can't afford to buy a new one. According to Ziggyslovechilds list a 17" would be optimum size using 1024 X 768. I wouldn't mind betting I still wouldn't be able to read it. I have no desire to sit with my nose glued to the screen trying to decypher a blur, and I have enough problems without adding eyestrain to them. My PC is only 18 months old, and doesn't go for a higher resolution than 1024 X 768. 800 X 600 is hardly as old as the Ark either.

I'm on 17" (I think, although the actual measurement is less than 16"), and I couldn't see the words at the higher res I tried....Still, the list that ZLC posted showed that 17" at 800x600 is "Good" and only one below the recommended "Best"...

    I like it!
I notice an old, old, old suggestion still not taken up .......

Split the feedback table at the top to show seperate columns for feedback as a seller, as a buyer, and total for both.

    hohum

I don't know whether this issue has been aired, but I found that when I went to use the 'sell similar' option some of my defaults had changed. A real pain. I didn't notice immediately, and had to start checking all my auctions.
Otherwise, not too bad. Easier to use than Ebay, in my opinion.
