Gazza and Mark. can I suggest you remove ability to earn buddy points for bids made on auctions which do not meet the reserve price. Instead make the number of points you receive for meeting an auction reserve a bit higher.

I totally agree with your comments, there are at least a couple of members in the top ten who have many Buddy points, who are abusing the points system.
I agree with that too.
I think most people would agree with that, as somebody could bid on loads of stuff just to accumulate points and not have to spend a penny.
What I think is that, ebid has 3 auctions running, the first auction is at 700 points, which is really aiming at only one seller, and the other two are aiming at two sellers/buyers, why not run three auctions 1 one high points, one for meduim points and one for low points. Or run an auction on past months performance, I joined ebid in Oct, I have 386 feedback, which must say something, maybe run an auction on feedback number, not buddy points.

So I agree with the OP...it's one thing that was requested at the beginning of the Buddy Points programme.
eBid - if someone bids on a reserve price auction, please pnly release the Buddy Points IF and WHEN the auction meets the reserve. Otherwise we could all abuse the system.

NOW THATS WHAT I CALL ABUSE OF THE BUDDY POINTS SYSTEM
502 current bids from one user- the few i looked at were all 'reserve not met'.Originally Posted by sexywolfy

I agree, the ones that constantly annoy me are those that put in a low bid, having no intentions of a purchase, thereby removing the Buy Now availability.![]()

I'll have to ask my OH, he's got bids on a reserve not met item from that bidder....
