I'm sorry that you have decided to leave, but I understand. I hope that you will check in on us sometimes. Maybe eBid will take your feelings into consideration when they decide to put on a new incentive program. By the way, if you decide to show any more of your item, you could put them in as your signature and maybe some of us in the forums could check them out. Do you have a website, so that anybody who sees this listing in the forum can come and look at your items?

As far as I'm aware there has been (or was until recently) a FREE gold membership policy for the US for a while now? equating to free listing and no FVF- there really isnt a better offer than that is there?

Silverantonious I answered one of your other threads recently- the one where you were 'testing' the site with one listing :S. Have you now added more? - because one listing is not a good enough sample to evaluate anything. Also for the benefit of anyone reading this thread- there would seem to be a difference in the EBID UK site, and the EBID USA site, because here in the UK there is traffic and ifv you have a good product, there are buyers. Silverantonius you describe your goods as "my cheap and unwanted junk" - but want EBID to market this 'junk' for you, you complain of NPB - but want credit card security removed? Sorry but you've not won me over with your posts so far.

    Well, this needs addressing.

You see - when I "complained" - I did not say to remove any credit card security - but I wanted to signal some sort of psychological barrier that exists and has enormous influence on future growth of eBid in the US.

It is important – because our discussion here is not about complains for the purpose of complaining – but to create a growth environment. Such environment is present only when people are attracted right away. Like google.com or Skype.com.

You don’t want barriers at the service introduction. The first glance is the most important one.
I don’t really know what actions should eBid take – because I am not being paid to know.
I just know – it is important to attract people. Every single step involving fees and CC registration means less traffic and less growth. This is statistics. 100 come and 80 go.
You want 100 come and 98 stay.

Maybe there should be an option to list 10 auctions without verification?
Buyers would be informed of such condition by putting some sort of star or maybe a red flag for unverified auctions. This would allow a seller to list anything for free for a limited time before CC verification.
Scammers would not benefit from that – because individual traffic depends on a feedback.
Professionals would upgrade eventually – and if the traffic increases – they would pay the membership fees.

Finally – one must understand here – it is worthless to pay even $50 if there is no traffic.
You don’t get back what you pay for.
