BB, what do we think so far?

Well i wasn't going to watch it when they said 23 days - too much time out your life and all - and then i watched to see who was going in, not too impressed so far.

A TV junkie mate was round the next night (yesterday) so i was sort of obliged to watch but i have to say Im hooked - thinking about it I had to concede that the producers seemed to have collated a blinding mix of people and they really seem to have really thought about how they will mess with the celebrities heads.

Each person is big - but only in their own world - and they aren't really recognisable out of it - the two yanks dont even know who the biggest start, barrymore is, (one of them did seem to believe he was a celebrity gynaecologist!) the idea of taking them away from that instant recognition - and making them "normal" i find fascinating and putting george galloway in with barrymore, well they've lit the touch paper now we have to just wait for the fireworks.

You can imagine them soon sidling up to each other and saying, Well, let me tell you about him, someone died in his pool, he wears wimins clothes and slpet with madoona, his lips exploded after surgery, and she slept with half of england - great gossip potential. And to put in a total nobody and manifest her as a celeb, what a master stroke - its the bonfire of the vanities!

maybe im sad watching it i dont know but the psychology of it all i find riveting - what do you think?

i watched the going in programme , for want of a better description.

on instinct : didnt majorly dislike any of them ( though was struggling to see any celebs , other than rodman maybe and thats only in USA really isnt it ? )

have not seen it since but will watch when i remember to and make a decission then.

I expected it to be totally useless when I saw who went in but watched it last night and was in hysterics at the non-celeb Chantelle.
Good on her - it would be hilarious if she won!

dont know what her personality is like as ive not seen her in action yet.
She's as much as CELEB as the rest of them imo. lol

the joke is that really they're all really victims of their own egos by being there dont you think?

sure they get paid, but of course they ALL think they'll be able to maintain control - when to start with only a couple of them are true to their selves by any stretch of the imagination, maggot and preston say...(and they both have odd names!)

the barrymore weep in the bogs, real or acting for the mics? real my friend says, acting says I - if you really wanted a cry with no one listening, you'd flush the chain first right?

Your paragraph above is EXACTLY why I watch CBB - take them out of "normal" spotlight and put them all in a completely alien environment and after the initial bum-licking (even if they don't know anyone else!) the cracks start to appear and we get to see the *real* non-gloss person.

C4's highlights last night concentrated a bit too much on Barrymore, and we missed all of the 4 hour moan that Jodie managed about people's opinions of her. BUT having said that, Pete Burns on the live feed last night was getting p!ssed off with her moaning, and can't understand why someone would remember ALL the bad things that have been said AND be still able to quote them after so many years...he even said that if this wasn't on TV he'd have slapped her by now!!!

So it's all brewing nicely, the masks are beginning to slip....

i had to have a little giggle when jodie marsh said ( when entering the house ) ITS MY CHANCE TO SHOW PEOPLE THE REAL ME ... Oh so she didnt do that on the other celeb reality fly on the wall type shows she has been on so far. rofl.

However, she did redeem herself with me , when she turned the tables on Nadia ( whom i used to like but now don't ) at all.
When she was flouncing about in Im a tour op , or what ever it was called and she expected all the blokes to be falling over her, Infact they seemed to just be annoyed by her presence and where all besotted with jodie.

She handled herself well on that imo , better than i expected anyway.

Its deff a lesson in : If you are going to bad mouth someone at least be big enough to admit it and own your remarks and either stand by them or apologise.

Its a bit funny how she does recount ALL remarks as you say tracey, but that could be cus its easier to remember the nasty things peeps say about you. We tend to forget the nice ones and only recall the bad. tut.

I only watched a bit last night as it was mainly just going over the introduction, but I'll be really getting into it tonight.
It was bloody cold at the going in, and started snowing too.
They all rushed past quickly except for Barrymore, I managed to shake his hand. The floor manager (Emily) had to tell him he was taking too long and asked him to go in.

I just saw on another board that Jimmy Saville is going in next week.
