It was bad anough trying to get a Sony PSP for my Son's birthday at the end of September ??
We'd paid a deposit some months earlier, I managed to get one from HMV in Telford on a Saturday Morning, The second i'd paid my Daughter rang me to say that the one in Game had just arrived ????
Funny as i'd stood for an Hour in the Queue at Game ? To be told they were still not in stock?
Anyway they refunded my money and i went back to HMV to buy a Ridge Racer for the PSP.
Moral of the Tale is ? I'd been buying all of the Software & Games from Game for the last 3 Years using their loyalty card.
HMV's card seems to give much better redemption & Money Off etc........Game's lost a very Loyal Customer....
Stu, This Leads on from your Nectar story.
I was chatting to the Manager at HMV and he told me that they were only expecting 20 XBox 360's in before Christmas and there was going to be Loads of discruntled customers.
As an Absolute X-Box Live Gaming Nut I'm waiting until Jan-Feb 2006 to get mine ?

Never take your loo for granted Camping sucks.......
someone gave me a link to an auction on The Other Side where they were going for around $1300 (probably to over-indulged little darlings)
Woolworths in Camden were advertising them (and PSPs) as being in store on the windows.
I went in thinking of buying one to sell on, but they were just collecting phone numbers for when they did get a few.
And, as ever with an MS product, the first crash reports come soon after launch: http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/technology/4466688.stm
Nice to know there's some consistency at Redmond.....
Microsoft admits Xbox has reliability problems
SOFTWARE giant Microsoft which also "makes mice" has admitted that it has had a few complaints about the stability of its super soaraway Xbox 360.
Yesterday we reported that the Xbox360 was causing some games to hang.
Volish spinner Molly O'Donnell admitted to Reuters that some Xbox 360 owners have reported problems but claims that the complaints were widespread and the Xbox was too buggy were over stated.
However, her claims that Xbox hangings were few and far between does not seem to be the experience of some of the gamer sites such as www.engadget.com and www.xbox-scene.com, as well as Microsoft's own Xbox Web forum. There are loads of "postings" from Xbox 360 owners on reporting that some systems had crashed during regular play as well as during online game play using the Xbox Live service.
O'Donnell, did not say how many reports Microsoft had received but said that the calls represent a "very, very small fraction" of units sold. (Yeah, right.)
However, she did say that Microsoft had been expecting problems with the new Xbox. With any launch of this magnitude, you're bound to see something happening, she said.
She recommended that people should call the Volish helpdesk 1-800-4MY-XBOX. However, be prepared for a long wait. Other "postings" complain that the helpdesk takes so long to answer that the Playstation Three will be delivered before someone picks up the blower.
What happened to the days when proper play testing meant that buggy sh1t didn't get to market?
lol at the prices of ppl selling there 360's
