The parents of a friend of mine sometimes have these spontaneous moments and will just go off and do something. That happened a little while ago when one of them left work, booked a holiday starting the following day, went home, told his wife, packed and took her off to Spain.

The following morning he strode out onto the balcony of his so recently booked hotel room, looked over to his right and said good morning to his next door neighbour from where he lived in england. Turns out the neighbour had done exactly the same thing and booked the holiday to the same resort on the same day, completely on a whim. They hadn't even spoken to each other about it before hand.
