I ve sent the link to a few people now and one of my mates has confirmed that he has signed up....yet upon reviewing my buddypoints total i havent yet been credited....when does this happen???

Did he sign up through the link you sent him? If not, the system won't recognise it as a Buddy sign up...if he DID, then I think it should have been automatic...

I had a case where I was actually sitting with the person (my sister) when she signed up.

After a couple of emails to EBID it came to light that when EBID changed their URL to EBID.net- the buddy links changed too- so the link i had on my other sites was out of date. Support did say they would update things so the 'old' links would register for a while longer.

My friend called me just after he had signed up. I emailed him the link -

Now i have just sat here with my girlfriend and she has signed up (and already started bidding!!), but my buddy points have still not go up!

What on earth is going on!.

Ive also bidding on a few items today, can you only get a maximum number of points a day or something??

Also when you bid, you get 0.1 buddypoints, is this automatically loaded onto your account?

Its just ive bidded on a few items now and dont think my points have been updated?

This sounds like a stupid question - but...are you sure you're looking in the correct place for your buddy points?

All buddy points automatically add to your account (except for reserve auctions, I *think*)...I'm just going to check the rates...

I'm not sure if it's per bid or auction....here's what I'm getting for buddy points:

0.10 = bid
0.50 = Buy It Now
0.50 = Positive Feedback received

the only problem is,your more likely to get suspended yourself as you are abusing the buddy points system,you have no intention of winning these auctions as you have not met the reserve.
at worst they will place your account on hold and not give you the buddy points

buddy points are supposed to reward people who bid on no reserve auctions,not just bid on everything in sight to build up their buddy points unfairly
