Thread: communication fault message when signing up for gold account

Default communication fault message when signing up for gold account

I've been trying all morning to sign up for the gold account. Whenever I submit the credit card info I get the following message:

    There has been an error

Sorry, but there has been an error encountered while handling your request. The error message was:-

    (209) Communication Fault

I've tried both Firefox & IE with same results. Every part of the site I've visited seems sluggish and slow to load.

I've emailed tech support, but thought I'd see if anyone else was having this problem?

    Me too.

Wouldn't it be nice for someone from tech support to respond?

I'm having the same problem. This is my first time to eBid. I was so hoping it would be better than eBay.

My excitement over this auction site is, unfortunately, already dying.

Here's the link I used for support. I can't remember exactly how I got there - it took so long to load I went and made lunch while I waited...

Hello To All. We have tried many times, with same response from support. "Its on your end"
I contacted our credit card company, and it is not on our end. Today I email NetBanx at support@netbanx.com. I alread received a comf.no. We also had high hopes for eBid.

Maybe it's our ISP - I use sbc dsl. Anybody else? Or maybe it's a Norton antivirus/firewall/who-knows-what-else thing. Although there have got to be people at ebid that are brighter than I am at coming up with these thoughts...

Registrations and subscriptions are currently running smoothly. There was an intermitent slowdown with our backbone provider around 7pm GMT this evening.

Can you let us know if you have any more problems.

    Thanks
    Gazza
