Thread: OK - whose looking forward to Xmas?

  1. #1

Default OK - whose looking forward to Xmas?

I am one of those really "Xmas bah humbug" people, but for some crazy reason, I am really looking forward to Xmas this year.

    I don't know why...

Maybe its the 15 hour days we've been putting in in normal humdrum work and to get the business going, so between Xmas and New Year looks like a really good one week rest.

Maybe its because I want to see our newest cat in the middle of the tree on the floor with a stupid dum grin as if to say "Doh! I didn't do it".

Or maybe I'm expecting a really nice Xmas present this year from my wife after my 30th present was ruined by Boots (sailing down the Thames - was meant to be June, then July, then September, then October... hmmmm... sailing down the Thames at the back of October - wooly jumpers galore).

So, is anybody else looking forward to it or is Xmas a swear word to many of you?

I am looking forward to it because it's out first Christmas with our Golden Retriever puppy and I'm sure she'll be great fun. She will probably be spoilt with more pressies than everyone else!
I'm a bit nervous how she'll react to the Xmas tree & lights though!

I won't unless my hubby gets a job soon, as I won't have a home!

That sounds familiar - is he having any luck?
I was made redundant 2 months ago and tried to stay positive that I would get something before Xmas but everything is proving fruitless at the moment and I must admit I'm starting to get nervous.

Nothing at present, and he is the major breadwinner - my take home pay won't even pay the mortgage this month (or any month for that matter!)

Oh well, such is life. There are some nice benches in the park.

Aw Silky, loosen up a bit! Christmas, and all its gaudy decorations, can never come too early! I love it when the shops stock up with stuff, I've been buying new lights and decs already! Yeah, it does seem to crop up earlier than it should, (before Halloween?) but there's nothing quite like the christmas build-up, no matter how early it comes!

    No I'm not sorry
Life is serious but taking it too seriously robs you of
    happiness, fun and productivity
