when I right click and 'save as' to download an image, windows seems to make it automatically a bitmap which bums it up if its a gif? I tried the drop down box but bitmap is the only option available!?

anyone know why and how to sort it please?

you can try clearing your "temp internet" files, that sometimes does the trick

I agree with Crackers, it's often a sign of a near to full file cache caused by browsing.
