Smile avatar - where is my user cp

Hi = could somebody please explain how I can post an avatar in the forums. I have found some information that was posted as follows:

Right click on the image. Save it to your hard drive.
Go into USER CP. Choose EDIT AVATAR. Use the Browse box to find and upload it from your PC.

But I am not sure how to find my USER CP (is that some kidn of a profile?) grateful for any help. P.s. I found the picture I am interested in and saved it now I just need to knwo how to post it.

Hiya, look to the dark blue strip just above your thread and the "Add Reply" button, and you'll see "User CP" up there

Thanks rainbow...evidently, your eyes are not only beautiful, but also very sharp. No, I am not trying to flirt just always say what I think. And that needed clarification. I will check it out - boy it must be night over there (here it is almost 8 p.m.). Take care

    Aww, thanks

Yes, it's 1.30am here, I'm usually up later than this but I must go to bed now as I was up VERY late last night doing my accounts...so I shall bid you goodnight, and hope to see you on here again tomorrow...hope you're enjoying it here

    Night!

    Smile thanks for your help...

..it is working! yes, I like it here, and will surely spread the news. Sleep well, good night and don't let the bedbugs bite.

P.s. This is not exactly the avatar I voted number one on my list, but the one I prefer is moving, and I could not find out how to load it. The html was rejected. So, tomorrow or whenever you get a chance, may be you could look at it and give me some pieces of advice. Thanks!

The one I liked so much was

    http://avatars.jurko.net/pic/22/

It is a giraffe playing peek-a-boo, as curious as I am
    Take care for now.

    Hi WildRose,
"Note: The maximum size of your custom image is 150 by 150 pixels or 9.8 KB (whichever is smaller)."

The image pixel size is ok, but the file size is 43.54 KB (44580 bytes) so thats probably the problem.

The only way to possibly make it small enough means losing that cute eyebrow tho, so spoils the effect.

Had a play about with it, the only way I can get the filesize small enough is by reducing the picture size greatly to the point where it is tiny.

I've saved it on my photobucket account so if you want it you'll have to save it to your webspace.

The answer to this and lots of other Frequently Asked Questions can be found in the FAQ post in the Kitchen Table forum.

Thank you, paladinz2k for the explanation. The giraffe appeared to be so cute and so little...I thought the pixel size counts only. Hey, I am learning every day! Just keep the good stuff comin' Have a nice day!

Thanks, Damian...I think this problem is solved, for now at least! I will just stick with my wildrose picture until I run across something else that catches my fancy. If you have a good idea for a website to check out, please let me know. I have run a google search and found only a few that came without uninvited advertising and pop-ups jumping at me. Well, any advice is appreciated!

P.s. You surely look mighty dangerous to me today...with your arsenal of weaponry. Why is your belly so round? Did you swallow one of those round things you are carrying around? I hope you are feelin' well? Take care
