    Thumbs up

    Hi Ken,

    Hope your keeping well. As you may remember i've had my X Box for nearly 2 Years. I am very pleased with it especially the X Box live set up.

    Prices are still around the £119 Mark with a spare controller & 2 Cheap Games

    Try here http://shop.game.net/lowdown.aspx?lid=1425&cat=8

    With the new X Box 360 planned for UK launch in early November prices may tumble on the original ?

    http://shop.game.net/xbox360/

    2nd hand market will also explode.

    X Box 360 prices start at £209 for the basic package

    Or

    the deluxe with 2 Wireless Controllers & a big Hard drive & X Box live for £279

    Regards

    Paul

    Hiya Paul

    Thanks for that. I'm really only after a console. Already have one, but the kids fight over it so I'm finally giving in and getting another. They already have spare controllers and dozens of games. Might be interesting to network them together - have you ever tried that?

    If I get the wrong one, I normally do better.

    I've ran out of X-Boxes sorry, got plenty of Gamecubes in stock though - Play.com and Amazon are doing X-boxes for around £99

    To take some of the sting out of the price of a new console, you can pick up games cheaply from Dixons, taken from elsewhere;

    Dixons and PCWorld have seriously marked down some of their older Xbox games INSTORE, to 47p. Certainly the ones I've got have been marked up at the full price, but scanned at 47p. This is the list at the moment:
