  1. #1

Default Media Player 10 help please, can't get album info.

I cant seem to get album info when playing/ripping a CD and the semi page just displays an error message, cant reach website type of thing.

AOL user (!) but it all works fine on me laptop - im guessing its some obscure setting but cant for the life of me work out which.

all help most welcome as i now want to rip all my stuff to mp3 (on this PC) and this could save me a ton of agro, thanks in advance,

btw, if anyone hasnt got an MP3 player, get one now. they are awesome - best invention ever ever ever....

These should work assuming that the CD is a recognised album.

No they're all set right, tried all the obvious stuff - one message says check your proxy setting in internet options/control panel for guide and online stopes. my TCP/1P isnt ticked (whatever that means), ticked it but it doesnt alter anything so unticked it again.

If you're getting a page cannot be displayed error it could be that either:

    1) the page is temporarily unavailable
    2) you've got a setting elsewhere that is explicity blocking said site and/or IP address (host file settings perhaps?)
