Thread: Dutch Auction Query

  1. #1

    Default Dutch Auction Query

    Hello All,

I have a few items which I have more than one of.

My question is I do not have to use dutch auctions if I choose not to do I?

I dont want to get into trouble for not using the dutch auction.

As I prefer to list them all one at a time as I think it cuts out problems if one is bought earlier than the others with regard to feedback and completion of auctions.

    many thanks

    Debbie

    Debbie,

No i think its allowed to list singularly. I see the same person listing the same item, many times over. I dont see the problem doing so.

    Regards
    Tara

If I was you I wouldnt list your item more than once. I have learnt from experience that admin are not happy if you do and they boot you off the system without any warning. The only safe way not to get booted is to list your item as dutch and just wait till the end to do your feedback.

Its a bit of a pain but thats just the way it is

Tara I hope you are right I cant see a problem myself.

frommetoyou - I hoep they will not boot mine off they are only 2 of the same.

Feedback is such a precious thing and to wait till the nd of a dutch auction would often mean losing feedback as people forget. I know you can remind them but as sales on here are slow reminding them 3 months later is abit well unprofessional as is not being able to leave feedback due to a system fault.

I just wanted to be sure I was not in any obvious breach as i could not locate one myself.

    many thanks all.

If you only have two of the same just change the title wording slightly. Then there shouldnt be a problem
