I reckon that there's a hell of a lot of passengers in shock tonight having realised how close they came to dying today.
Did you hear that one of the bombers deliberately stood next to a mother and her baby? A graphic example of the sort of people we're facing. Even the BS about the Koran saying it is OK to kill infidels doesn't hold up - the baby can never be anything but an innocent.
Life seems to have gone back to normal tonight, but how can it now be anything more than a pale imitation of "normal", an imitation where everyone is now looking over their shoulders, checking each face that passes, desperately looking for clues in that Asian face - Is he a bomber? Does he want to kill me? - before clambering warily onto the next bus or train. But we can't let them win, we've got a reputation to keep up. So, best foot forward and stiff upper lip, life as it always was, we're British, damn it!

Damian and all:
I'm in America, and I am just extremely surprised that there's been no (notta, nothing) news on this here. I'm in KS, and perhaps -- it'll get to "us" in the middle yet tonight or tomorrow.
Again, my heart goes out to all who may be affected, have loved ones close by. Those who are savage enuf to do this crap will burn in he!! (IMO)...
Bit too much of a coincidence though for a failed attack...ALL FOUR failed to detonate properly?Originally Posted by damian_steele

Life's never going to be "normal" again for me...I'm too scared.Originally Posted by damian_steele

Hi Jules, Hi Gazza....
....everybody carry on as normal, we shall not be moved, we are not afraid, we managed through the blitz, etc, etc, etc, etc.
...who are we (they) trying to kid?
Some days you're the windscreen..others you're the fly.'ave it!
Mel - I have to agree. I DO have a determination - but that's prolly fairly similar to Damian's - they won't get me if I have anything to do with it.Originally Posted by melboy
I personally will avoid any likely situations of terror...I don't CARE whether this is what they want, I didn't like public transport anyway (too much threat of 1-2-1 violence etc anyway) and now I have a bigger reason not to travel.
My family is more important than a "stiff upper lip".
.....you got it all wrong rainy....Blair & Co want you to have a "stiff upper lip" and die for Queen and country...but don't worry, he will come on the tele and condemn the atrocity....so thats nice.....innit?

As I said, I agree with your previous post...I don't give a sheeite about this "stiff upper lip" poo...I refuse to die for carp that 1) I don't fully understand, and 2) stuff that's out of MY control.Originally Posted by melboy
Shame that Blair (nope, the UK POLITICIANS, whoever are in power) are so far up the USA's butt that the UK have to follow them like a puppy dog in whatever they do (remember Thatcher/Reagan?!)....
George Michael's "Shoot The Dog" got it damn right...
(BTW - this is no way attacking US nor UK citizens - this is my general attack on POLITICS et al... )
