Yes, I quite agree it would be more convenient to be able to select which notification mails to receive or not receive, but until the option becomes available then the message rule solution can help as a temporary stop gap.

How do I add my vote to polls ? - I can't see an obvious way.
eBid seems to be really taking off - Yahoo used to be similar, now it's defunct & QXL is dying, eBid has a bright future.
Amazon + eBay's recent VAT charges + too much competition means I need a place to list 1000's of books - tried a few obscure ones on eBid, had a couple of sales (one to Denmark!) will be looking to buy some wants on eBid + listing some more.
As I thought lots of sellers + competitive prices mean buyers will soon follow.
"on first bid" is excellent, ensure lots of choice + low maintenance for sellers, I just desparately need a "buy it now" at the start price for single items.
Well impressed by the response by eBid to suggestions - so much better than asking an auto-reply 'bot on all the other sites
