Thread: Can We All Lock Posts ?

  1. #1

    Default Can We All Lock Posts ?

    Lock Up test ...

    --------------------------------------------------------------------------------

    CAN WE ALL LOCK POSTS ?

    * testing * lol ...
    As you found out, We can, but I can't see the point as we can still be quoted. Nowhere to hide, unless one deletes the OP if they started it. Bit silly really, it is like talking to yourself innit ?
    I have found the Ignore button a valuable asset lately.

    Of course we can lock off a thread. However, the word "Forum" means a place to debate or a group of people debating. If you lock a thread it means you are not part of the Forum because you are frightened of what others might add, or too socially inept to cope. A bit like a 4 year old sticking it's fingers in it's ears and yelling "I'm not listening. Nyer, Nyer."

    I had to undo the "Ignore" to find out what was going on. Pointless waste of time. Same old garbage, but now he has stopped the replies. Why not erase the whole thread if he doesn't want to come out and play? Pathetic really.

    Melboy, this is the first time I have used the "ignore" facility. I enjoy the interesting and intelligent debates on here. But when the sad person has half a dozen threads of cut - and - paste on here, and was just using the threads as an excuse to ram half - baked ideas down everyone's throats, and abusing anyone who disagreed with him, I thought I would try it out. I had to turn it off to find wth was going on. I even enjoy your posts, but then they are never boring.
