False buyer's address

Hmmm...I just get my sold confirmation email and looked at the address:

107 north ashley street
Battersea, Cheshire, United Kingdom
SW8 3QJ

Is this person (gent2tony) for real? Maybe just some innocent mistake, but

a) SW* aint in Cheshire
b) Battersea aint in Cheshire
c) the street name does not exist in the UK

I'm going to wait for payment clearance, obviously, but would anyone advise me NOT to post the item to this stated address?

Either way, I'm letting ebid know of my concerns, just for the record.

Hi Deborah,

Personally I'd be asking for a verified address, I tend to go with the paypal idea of not sending items to any address other than the one verified with the account holder. theres just too much chance of fraud otherwise.

I'd suggest that you get a contact phone number matching the address and confirm their identity before agreeing to send anything.

How are they making the payment?
