Just got my bill from Ebid and found it was a lot more than expected. Looks like I forgot to change the default "featured" setting to the "free" setting. Bllx. Now got a bill greater than the amount of sales I've made in the last six months combined.

That happened to me b4 ... I did not know that if you do not upload the pic until AFTER you do the listing it sets to featured.

What should have been about £3 was about £23 .... they did reduce it when they realised it was mostly for YDC charity auctions and very low priced items, so obviously it was not intentional.

Maybe an email to G&M to explain ( as i did ) might result in them meeting you half way ?

    GOOD LUCK.

Given that they bill this place as "free to big, free to list, free to enjoy", perhaps the "default" auction should be the free one, not one that has a cost associated with it - it's obviously catching people out.....

    I agree.
Short-term it brings in moremoney for eBid, but long-term it upsets people and creates negative thoughts and feelings towards eBid.

I've had an outstanding balance of 20p that, every month, I get told will be taken from my account next month.... Still waiting boys!

I had an outstanding balance of 81p between February up until June, shows how much I sold over those four months!

Just been downgraded to bronze because my credit card was refused. No idea why, there is some cash on it. Just annoyed I was downgraded then told, instead of being told first, then I would have had a chance to find out what was going on first.

Doing it the way it's been done is a sure way to lose customers.

Plus Netbanx charges my account a quid just for me re-entering the same credit card details which it has now accepted, which it has apparently turned down ten times before???

    Just getting hacked off now.
