I got distracted driving into work this morning look out of the glass roof of my car at the lightning!

Down here in the south west we had a fair old bashing for five hours or so. There were at least three lightning strikes on houses in Plymouth which caused fires and destroyed large sections of roofing.

The storm was so severe that it knocked out power over a wide area with hundreds of homes and businesses affected.
