You cant - once a cheque has been marked as return to drawer by the bank then they wont accept it anymore.

I used to be a bit wayward in my teenage years, used to have a rubber cheque book etc. You get the cheque back and a hefty bank charge with it, but it used to take them anything up to a month to send it.

All the silly buyer has to do is check his bank statement either at an ATM, online or even ring the bank to see if the cheque has cleared. Methinks he is bullsh*tting his heart out.

I only post out before the cheque clears when someone has bought from me before and I feel are trustworthy. Otherwise they wait the full clearance time, and yes, I do often get abusive emails for how long they have to wait, but as I point out, it's the fault of a prehistoric banking system, nothing to do with me.

Ive sorted it out now. He never replied and Im sick of waiting so Ive blocked him and got my fvfs back and left him a nice plump juicy negative which hopefully will make him look bad to the other sellers who he is buying lots from LOL!

Hes bidding on lots more so I hope he isnt thinking of sending bounced cheques to all them!!!!
