Default Glaringly absent from Postage Options in SYI

No Option for posting to New Zealand

Also needs other options for where there are large numbers of Brit, Euro, North American expats, e.g. .....

    Hong Kong
    SE Asia
    South Africa
    Belize
    etc
    etc

over 250,000 westerners permanently resident in Thailand. Similar numbers in Malaysia and Singapore
Slightly less in Indonesia, but bigger number in Phillipines

Using eBay's sites for out this way is a real pain as the interfaces are all too old and they don't accept Turbo Lister - real chance for eBid (especially with Australia now open) to clean up out here.

But we need the capacity to click one tick box for "will post abroad" - it takes forever at the moment!

I have two ebid stores. This is for Cats Protection;Lots of beanies, fast food toys, random collectables, some new children's clothes - almost anything really.
this is business and sells skeleton leaves, Thai silk, various vintage postcards, more random collectables
    Both sell discontinued china tableware.

Have you set your options in "My defaults" - then you only need to change prices for the different weights of package

Yup, I agree. Just one box will do...

Surely most countries will cost similar when sending items to them? I would have thought that groups of countries would be the same charge ie- Europe, Middle East, Far East, USA.

To use Thailand as an example. there are 47 country "groupings" for the different rates (UK uses 3 "zones" according to UK-PO website). I've had to calculate average rates to the most popular countries then allow a little leeway and have split the world into 2 zones according to costs and services available to them. It took almost 15 months of monitoring everything sent to work it out (because all Thai Post pricelists are in Thai and I can't read it).

Whilst from the UK, Australia may be one rate, from here it's two rates (east & west sides) due to the difference in flying time I suppose. New Zealand and Tasmania are different rate bands as well.

From here, the "Middle East" has huge disparities - the Gulf states are all about half the cost of sending to Israel, Lebanon & Jordan, yet Greece is cheaper than to Kuwait - despite being further.

Other factors to consider - do you class Russia as Europe or Asia? It stretches from the Baltic to Alaska.

Flexibility is needed in giving postal rates to reduce unneccesary ASQ's, but it also needs flexibility in the name of the service offered .... I may have to change my "home site" for eBid to Australia, simply because Australian eBid allows me to use the correct names for the three postal services I offer - the UK site doesn't. Same applies on eBay. But I know if I do that, that my sales will suffer.
