@ SCcoins Glad to hear you're doing well on Vinted and that you have a repeat buyer buying bundles from you

I must admit, I am tempted to put some of my locks on Vinted and see if anything sells !

Ebid has been very disappointing due to the lack of buyers who are into buying old antique locks and niche items.

The only thing I don't like about Vinted is the same postage and payment model as eBay now have, IE no instant payment and a limited choice of postal services like EVRi, Yodel and Royal Mail tracked 48.

On the plus side of Vinted It is very difficult to near impossible for rogue buyers to force false returns unlike eBay who always take the buyer's word for it without doing a thorough investigation and taking notice of the seller's evidence if they have any.

I am just sitting it out now and waiting for eBay stupid simple delivery disaster to fail so I can get back on eBay and sell my locks as normal once again as Ebid is not working very well for me.

    Thank you.

I had a quick search and there aren’t many antique locks there but I think that is potentially a positive. You do seem to be able to list them under Tools & DIY > hardware > deadlocks.

As for the postage, I sent the large order I mentioned with InPost Locker as that’s what the buyer chose and I don’t mind. The same buyer has chosen Evri before for stamp lots, he never chooses Royal Mail, hardly anyone does. If it’s packaged well it’s very safe.

All I can add on the eBay thing is I know 100% you can avoid simple delivery by creating business policies for postage because I have done it on my private account. It works so well that you literally cannot use SD even if you wanted to without deleting the policies.

You're welcome SC, and thank you very much for the helpful hint regarding avoiding eBay simple delivery via business policies, I will have a look later on tonight and see if this is the answer to my prayer !
