Sorry for being so negative, I hope things pick up which they should over the Xmas time

Its not a case of being negative, its a case of being 'realistic'. As I said here two years ago...
If this site does not advertise it will slowly shrink and decline until it ceases to exist. That is exactly what is happening!
...and yes its a shame.

I've still got listings here, but they are shrinking - because I'm selling stuff on Vinted and I have only got a fraction of the listings I have here, never had more than 120 on there and yet had 700-1000 here, with sales there and nothing here.

As they were never bought out by someone else prior perhaps they're hoping Vinted will be the one to do it but I doubt that very much as it's not competition as it's doing a fine job of killing itself as you rightly pointed out it will wither and die.

No one’s going to buy it out, especially in this climate. If there were a better financial climate maybe someone would come along and buy it as a new auction starter site, but the investment needed to make a successful venture would be too much when there are so many easier investments to be had.
