What a great idea, thank you! For all but my smallest parcels I use black duct tape, but every parcel has a RM label taped to it with clear Selotape. So I could create a whole lot of little labels like that to go under that same tape on my ebay parcels.

Advertising isn't just a one and done thing. It's very rare for someone to see "Use xyz" and immediately think "Ooo, xyz, never heard of that, I MUST go check it out and buy some". But a trickle of publicity, even if we have to do it ourselves, may eventually plant a seed.

Tape is one of the best advertisers out there for a low cost, one roll of branded tape can be used for multiple parcels etc. Many sellers who received free tape from eb*uygumm are still using it on items sold from other platforms.
I only knew about eBid in the past due to seeing the branded tape, I probably would never have been here otherwise and since seeing an eBid listing on Google etc is very rare, even tape on sales from other sites will bring in potential buyers which in turn can produce word of mouth which is very popular these days due to social media
The site would need to hit at least 1 million visits per month to start seeing improvement and right now it is prob around 200k

Sadly it will never happen and this site will keep moving to the background when it should be a common site many people use and all it would take is a few rolls of branded tape.
In the past when someone bought something from the main sites people would use the ebid tape meaning instant curious potential buyers, these days sites grow mostly due to word of mouth and you tubers, this site is never mentioned, just imagine what would happen if Nick Hills who is a very popular You Tube reseller mentioned this site once! 1000's upon 1000's would visit the site

So contact Nick Hills (never heard of him myself) and suggest he mentions it. Be the change you want to see!

    Tape is expensive.
I had looked into having eBid tape made for me and there is no way that I would pay for a roll of tape the price I was quoted.
Even the higher quantities to have made is a high price.

Instead, I made my own on paper and tape it to the packages being sent out.

He and many other popular resellers looked at the site, they all liked the layout and the ease of use along with the costs being cheap but they also said the site has non existent traffic or any form of advertising meaning it wouldn't be worth their time.

So people who do sell successfully here need to be posting comments on his videos to correct that misinformation.

Sadly the traffic is super low and their is no advertising - - - August saw around 160k visits although the stats varies to as low as 145k with around 50% Bounce rate, its not something people can deny and when compared to any other smaller sites these numbers are very poor. Those numbers used to be much higher and I remember it being at 450k visits only a few years back which is when sales were good.

We have seen more new sites appearing and other older sites making changes and spending money to be seen, some have grown at an incredible rate since social media and word of mouth are now the biggest way sites become known to the general public.

The listing numbers have dropped here also and I put that down to people either giving up and closing their accounts but also people either halting, stopping or reducing their listing activity. There have been a few that I know who came here cross listed lots of listings then gave up 3-6 months later. When people reduce or halt their listing activity, they are deleting more listings that sell elsewhere than adding new listings!

I'm sure there are people that do ok here and that's great but the numbers don't lie, they are going down and we need those numbers to go up, I want this site to be the great site I used to love because it was always my number one site.

Sorry for being so negative, I hope things pick up which they should over the Xmas time
