If you mean Firefox, that's a web browser. As are Opera and Edge. I have no idea how a web browser could relate to your susceptibility to spam mail.

2025 Top 10 review of Auction Sites
https://www.topconsumerreviews.com/b...views.php#ebid
eBay top, eBid at nine - out of ten
"Mixed reviews and an "F" rating
While eBid enjoys a degree of popularity, with an average rating of 3.5 stars out of 5 across different third-party review sites, some sellers have expressed a desire for a larger customer base. In comparison to larger online auction sites, eBid's membership remains relatively modest. This, in turn, can pose challenges for sellers looking to maximize their earnings through eBid's platform. On top of that, there's an even more concerning factor: the Better Business Bureau has awarded eBid an alarming "F" rating, which stands out particularly as a red flag for this business.
Low BBB score ruined its reputation
While eBid may have made some improvements to its site design and it does have a competitive number of inventory results, the "F" rating is a huge glaring problem. Considering that this site used to hold an "A" rating, the slide all the way down to "F" is highly concerning. With no stated return policy, it's not clear how eBid works to protect buyers. So, for this review, it earns a lower review overall."
This ratings site is American and so under the Trump influence (British business, bigly bad for American business, so bad, eBid would not have happened if I had been presedent, you brits have no cards, your site does not wear a suit and you disrespect eBay, etc etc etc).
BBB Better Business Bureau (American) https://www.bbb.org/
BBB do not appear to publish a guide to their own ratings, hmmmmmmmmm
Interpretation of ratings here (American) https://moneyprofitpro.com/what-is-the-bbb-rating/
"F: This is the lowest possible rating, indicating a serious lack of customer service and ethical behavior. Consumers should avoid doing business with companies with an F rating."
The question is how - and I mean How with a capital H, can us users and Gazza get that rating closer to eBay and not drop out of the top 10?

What a useless review site. Apart from ebay I've never heard of the other sites. If you ask me to take a guess, this review site is either funded by ebay, or is looking to generate click-thru revenue for itself. As for those crazy stock photos on that page, they look like MAGA voters celebrating Jan 6.
And "we checked out common shopping searches like watches, autographed items, and iPads ...". Items which I reckon are among the highest scammer magnets. Why on earth did they pick those categories?
About eBid: "There are a few buy-it-now items, but those are less common than the standard bids. ". Really? I've not looked at the numbers (a job for you, Stenopmoc?), but my impression is that most items on ebid are available for immediate purchase. Certainly that's my own intent when listing, for I reckon the days when people enjoyed battling it out in the auction ring faded away more than 10 years ago. Few people have patience to wait days for an auction to end.
In short, I don't think any UK buyers or sellers need spend any time worrying about that. And Americans have their big beautiful orange scammer to worry about, so they won't have time for this.
Final kicker: go take a look at the About Us page for that site. See the photos at the top, are we supposed to believe they're the staff and/or founders? A Tin-eye reverse image search says otherwise. Shutterstock and Adobe stock images. What a crock.

Hmmm, obay No.1 against Ebid and 8 other sites I'd never heard of, makes me also think the review site was obay funded and biased. I wonder are all the other sites US based, with ebid as a token "Other"?
I remember back before obay invented their Money Back Guarantee (MBG) they were always marketing the buyer protection afforded by PayPal. Which was then mandatory if using obay to the exclusion of all other payment methods. The review mentions that obay will now (reluctantly) accept paypal, but fails to mention that on Ebid most sellers offer paypal with the same buyer protection.
I also remember that when the MBG was being rolled out, it was noted on the obay boards that, the MBG was only different to paypal buyer protection in that it worked against seller's interests more than paypal had.
So was the fact that most buyers on ebid would have paypal protection taken into account by the reviiew ? Unlike the review of ebay where paypal IS mentioned, it isn't when they review Ebid.
So there is a starting point to raise the "F" rating -- both sellers and The Management can make more capital on paypal buyer protection. I've never understood why the site doesn't make more of it.
As an aside the reviewers say that Ebid once had an "A" rating, as paypal has always been the main payment option for the site I have to ask, why the down-grade when it (I assume) still is ? Although some sellers offer other options.

639 UK active stores today, as we were last week and 3 weeks ago. Last week 639.
Why look at stores - they show members commitment to the site. They give a sort of indication about the trends of new Platinum sellers (who get free stores) and indicate that they have a specific types of goods that they want to be found more easily by the casual visitor to eBid. Stores are featured on the eBid Front Page and you can add meta tags to your store listings, now that is useful.
Surprised that even more people are not using this Platinum seller free tool. Perhaps we need even more people to commit to the site by launching a store when they become Platinum sellers.
UK listings today 3,851,396 Last week 3,839,481
USA listings today 3,223,990 Last week 3,225,001
