Just tried the new upload widget. Gazza, I don't know where you got this from, but I'm very disappointed.
I couldn't figure out how to upload more than one image at a time, multiple select doesn't work.
It rotates, that's good.
Cropping is horrible. Instead of being able to move the borders independently, it retains the aspect ratio.
If I liked it I'd be mentioning that the buttons need tool tips, but that's the least of the issues I have.
As it stands, I'd rather go back to my old workflow, editing the photos on the desktop and uploading, though that often resulted in rotation problems.

I've just tried switching to the simple form, but couldn't find a way to multiple select with that either.
While the new uploader is being fine tuned, could we have the original simple uploader, the original fancier uploader (which I'd learned to live with) and the new uploader?

I can't comment on the photo editing functionality, but I've found the uploader to be working perfectly. I uploaded 150 photos in a zip file and they all went up speedily and in the correct order. Personally I'm very pleased with this new feature.
Working fine for us, drag and drop your images into the widget, or click "Browse Files" or "My Device" and select your images using the standard OS method for multiple selections like CTRL + CLICK for individual additions to the selection or SHIFT + CLICK for a range. Nothing different in the case of multiple files being selected. Of course this will be different on a Mac, but OS standard still.

I take it all back. My previous report was when doing an upload direct to My Gallery, just as a test, on my laptop, while watching the TV. Not the recommended working environment for the QA department! I apologise.Working fine for us, drag and drop your images into the widget, or click "Browse Files" or "My Device" and select your images using the standard OS method for multiple selections like CTRL + CLICK for individual additions to the selection or SHIFT + CLICK for a range. Now I've tried sitting at the desktop, going through my normal workflow for creating a listing. It worked pretty much as I would hope, give or take a few minor surprises:
- I imagined I'd get the nice new "select these pics for my listing" checkbox after uploading, but I now realise I have to check it beforehand. No problem.
- I liked seeing the thumbnails before uploading. With hindsight it seems I need to use the new edit controls BEFORE, not after uploading. Not what I expected, but again, no problem.
- The progress bar of the 4 pics (13MB) proceeded as I would hope, but continued to say 0 of 4 uploaded right to the end. Perhaps a fix needed? But no problem if it remains like that.
In short, I'm really pleased.
If eBid were a site filling some niche with no other comparable businesses, I'd leave my comments there. Of course it isn't such a site. The elephant in the room is ebay, and currently there must be a significant influx of new users here from there, given how ebay has screwed things up this year and the level of outrage. Those new users are used to features working in a certain way. It would help the site designers if they create an account on ebay and try creating a few listings to get a feel for the expectations such users have.
I've not tried Vinted. It might be worth exploring how pictures are uploaded and edited there too.
Must end on a positive note: I'm HAPPY!(And sorry about trying to do QA while watching TV!)
