    Good morning Bittyboy.

I checked the Help Page FAQS and you're correct, FREE photos 15, maximum number allowed 20 and it does say that EXTRAS have to be paid for at each posting. Sorry if I mis-lead you.

On the good side we've both learned something new this morning thanks to @StamHammer. Your pictures are still on the listing, so you don't have to search for them again.

    Hi Stamphammer,

Whenever I edit a listing of mine (which has more than the 15 free photos on it), all my additional photos totally disappear despite me being a full platinum member and all the additional photos paid for.

I have checked the extras section when this last happened to me but there is no sign of any of my additional files there for me to re add - everything is totally wiped.

Whilst it's off topic for this discussion and not that important... for a new seller it is rather annoying ! It shouldn't do that !... and I shouldn't have to be scared of opening up an existing listing that's got extra additional photographs (more than 15) to do a price revision without the fear of losing all my extra photos which have been already paid for !

Not sure why it does this... or if there is a problem with my account... but it's just awful and leaves me no choice but to leave those few listings alone and just stick with the higher price even though I wanted to reduce those items a bit to help them sell...

    Good morning Elench,

    Thanks for that.

So basically, If I edit and re-post a listing which already had more than the 15 free photos, I have to re-upload all my additional photos again and pay another 3 pence again for every additional photo ?

That makes sense but is awful as it means I have to work out what photos have been lost and then go all the way back to my camera or PC to find them and re-upload them again which is a real pain.

Oh, well now I know this is how it is.

Thanks Elench for solving the phantom photo mystery !

I got caught out with the featured listing option. I applied it to an auction out of interest to see how it worked, believing it was 99p and would expire after 60 days because that’s what it says when you click on the ? in the listing page. I was surprised yesterday when I got an invoice for July with 99p compounding every 7 days. Needless to say the auction is now now deleted…

Was your auction auto repost every seven days. Each repost is considered a new listing with a new start time and end time.

Yeah. My bad, I just read that 60 day expiry line and went with it. Never mind, it was just under £4 invoiced for July.

I can understand why extras are charged for again with every re-post, but it does seem a bit harsh that editing a live listing counts as a repost.

I use Platinum Listings, I first list as a 40 day auction. When It finishes, I re-list as RUS and pay another 5p. I wouldn't expect to pay 5p every time I edited the listing. I know it's not quite the same situation but all the same, editing a live listing doesn't usually incur charges.

I'm not really sure why anything would need that amount of pics but then I sell mainly new items and only have one or 2 pics per listings. The only items I tend to buy on line from ebid are books and jigsaws and all I'm interested in is the condition in case of used books and that jigsaws are complete or new.

just thought i would pop in and ask a question as i am confused(nothing unusual for me). I have just had the invoice for fees (a whole 50p) but i am not sure if i am supposed to manually pay them or if as they suggest in one part that they will 'attempt to take them from my bank). They seem to have worded the various places differently and i do not want to end up with a bad mark if i am supposed to have pressed the magic pay button myself!! (must admit that i did not realise that i had done anything to get fees but you live and learn and hopefully i have sorted that out now). As i appear to be having no luck on this site i am trying a few items on V as well, not that i want that kind of postage system but will see how it works.
