Ralph Nader - Unsafe At Any Speed (or Why Europeans do not buy American cars)

I am looking to buy a readable, not collectable, copy of the Ralph Nader book 'Unsafe At Any Speed', published in America, or a reprint from elsewhere, in English

Book needed for reseach.

This is the story of profit (or deals) above safety in American car manufacturing

This book single handedly changed American car buying habits toward buying European cars and coversly, why no European (or Brit) would have bought an American Manufactured car without making major structural modifications.

If you can help it would be appreciated.

Loads of them for sale on the dark side - but the are expensive and in the US, which is i guess what is to be expected.

I have seen them there - lunatic prices, unless they have become collectable because the admistration is so embarressed that they have bought as many as they could and then had them pulped?

They were quite available in the UK at one time as well as in Europe, often quoted.

I wonder if you could find the text on Google books, or archive.org? If you can live with the guilt, perhaps the Pirate Bay or one of the other big library sites that ignore copyright. I'm assuming you just want to read it, a paper copy isn't essential?

Unfortunatly I need a hard copy for the citations for references etc - you never know what has been done to the on-line versions, let alone all the finer details about the book that on-line do not publish and . . . importantly . . . . you never know when it will be removed from the site. It was a very controversial book in its day and will probably have a second re-awakening.

Archive.org gives you scans of every page - perfectly suitable for academic citations

Unfortunatly, websites are not perminant hard copy and may be subject to later deletion, editing upgrade etc. Apart from that Musk could order the site closed - who knows?

If you are producing something that needs reference, then enduring, perminant hard copy is always best cited. You will need to cite the publisher and the web site is the publiser of that copy, not the publisher of the origional document. Apart from that hard copy is a lot easier to read
