I'm pretty sure there are sellers in Canada and Australia with ads. in the glass category I list in.

    Any advance on 938?

What I found for the number of stores:

    58 Canada
    2 Africa
    53 Australia
    2 New Zealand
    3 Hong Kong
    2 Malaysia
    1 Singapore
    1 Portugal
    2 Norway
    5 Netherlands
    2 Italy
    8 Ireland
    4 France
    8 Spain
    9 Germany
    7 Belgium
    1 Austria

If the two cycles coincide I would think that's the answer.

    @ Policequilts

That looks more respectable, I make that a total of 1106 stores.

Dropped to 624 stores this morning - so now watch out later for an increase as they come back in with relisted items?

No of items listed (UK?) 4,768,587 at 10.20 - this number again is increasing daily, then drops back and then returns. It's still very, very small needs to start doubling let alone staying at these levels. However I do wonder if ebid servers/infrastructure are capable of coping with large increases?

    I wonder about this, too.

What bothers me is that you don't see much of Gazza.
I would like to know that they are active on this site.
    The reason I am concern is . . .

    * Even know that this is a selling site, there was a "public" venting and learning site that came off of eBay when sellers wanted to talk about problems and vent. This site was called POWERSELLERSUNITED. com.
    * I had learned about it and I did learn about eBay while learning to sell online and on eBay.
    * I remember going there on a regular basis and then stopped checking there.
Well, for some reason, I went back to that website and it become BAD. There was promoting of porn sites and such.
I reported the threads and such.
I finally found out from a former poster that the owner had passed away and he had purchased a few years of hosting. So this site had to run out with all that porn promoting stuff.

so . . . I worry about this site if there is back people to continue this simple site ?

I have been critical of this site for several years. Ebid's lack of investment in it's own promotion and advertising. In today's world we have to continually grow or you stagnate and eventually disappear. That is what I sadly see here. It might be fine for some who use it as a 'cheap website' and think they can stay happily turning a few sales a week - they can't, because eventually it WILL decline and disappear.
Too many missed opportunities, when they could have seized an opportunity for growth - with increased income to help it move forward!

BUT Obey are giving them yet another opportunity - which is again being totally ignored. NEVER has there been more discontent on the dark side than now, but what does ebid do ..... Nothing!

The boards over there are full of criticism, sales are dropping and many are leaving asking where they can go... silence from ebid.

If you want to see just how bad things have got for Obey
Take a look at the reviews of them on Trustpilot - I promise you will be astounded!!!!!

....Then compare the reviews for ebid ...and you will see that hardly anyone has heard of it!!!!

we are former ebay sellers and left to come here. We were looking for somewhere else and found this site off our own backs. A lot of our old customers have asked about this site and not one of them had ever heard of ebid. Ebay is a real mess and the owners of this site could kill it stone dead and take their sellers with a bit of work.

...and finally back to 627 stores at 4.30 just as I predicted!

meanwhile listings now risen to 4.769m - still slowly rising but as I say no where near quickly enough!

    @Policequilts.

"What bothers me is you don't see much of Gazza. I would like to know they are active on this site."

I think someone is active and doing something on the site.

When the annoying advert started sliding up from the bottom of the screen it covered the "Log out" line from the Username. No-one commented but it was fixed, so now it doesn't.
Also I'm sure up-loading photos to new listings has been improved and speeded-up. It used to take enough time to make a cup of coffee to up-load 5 - 10 photos. Now it's a few seconds and up-loading 2 photos to a PYA thread was slow but is now almost instant.
