Thread: Does Ninja Lister Work with a Mac - or is it defunct?

  1. #1

Default Does Ninja Lister Work with a Mac - or is it defunct?

I have downloaded Ninja Lister along with Adobe Air and it does not seem to work, a new laptop. My old Mac won't work with the Ninja and it seems my new one won't work either?
I realise that Turbo lister does not work - is there anything that does work??

I did email support about this and was told to use the built in importer as the Ninja Lister no longer works.

There is one built into Ebid and easy to use best if you read the help section.

Excellent suggestion. RTFH, or Read The Fine Help. So I've just now gone to the Help and found:
    47) Can I import listings from other Marketplaces?

Please refer to our Forum thread Ninja Lister importing listings for further information on this topic.
I think I need more help and probably the original poster does too. And, since this is the Website Suggestions forum, I guess a suggestion would be to bring the fine help up to date.

What I really want to know about whatever method of importing is now recommended is, does it wipe out my listing on the other site I'm importing from? I absolutely can't risk that.

    Edit to add:
Here's another section of the Help that presumably needs updating if Ninja doesn't work any longer:
    54) Can I import my listings from Amazon?

How many people need to email support@ebid.net suggesting they review the whole of the help file and update it? Let's get a community sweepstake going?

I managed to transfer over my listings, but just over 50 of 650 disappeared so that's not helpful !

I think the real issue here is that despite reading how wonderfully better this site is - in reality it should not have out of date material all over the internet and its own site. It should be removed or updated asap.
This is still true about the 'footers' at the base of selling pages. Sellers who are no longer here extol the virtues of this site and yet they have not sold for years! I've pointed this out before, and yes it eventually got changed, deceased sellers were removed at that time. BUT its back, I've come across at least half a dozen who have not sold here for years and clearly have gone.

On a plus side, there are new sellers here - came across a guy selling film posters and he'd brought over 13,000 items - and more importantly in a few days had sold at least 7 items and purchased a similar amount. So who knows there is still hope, not holding my breath though.

Are the listings that have disappeared not been put in categories by the Ebid importer just a thought as I had that.

If they have not been put in categories there should have been an error message go to "my Ebid >> Bulk Imports, I would email Ebid support as I have always had a reply from them trying to help.

When I did the bulk import from Ebay of over 3000 cards it worked reasonably well however if there was any item where it didnt know where to put it,it ended up stuck in the very first category which I seem to recall was something like Agriculture Allis Chambers ;-)

I still finding some of my listings there when I do a bulk edit.

I've also never added to those items despite listing another 1000 on ebay because I did it once and discovered if I tried to do a partial import I lost all of the listings in my shop, so now I leave it well alone.

Luckily I did that before I had spent too much time altering the listings to include the shop so there wasnt too much to put back.
