So I cleaned up my Pinterest and added new items but noticed there were no views at all days later and the only views being generated was from me refreshing
So is it a waste of time now or am I missing something?

I haven't been pinning for a while. Part of it was busy with my work and then I didn't really want a lot of sales so close to Christmas and having people crabbing that they didn't get their items in time with how the postal deliveries have been.
BUT.....
When I do pinning of my items and others on my SellersMall account, I do see an increase in views on my items and I have spot check other eBid sellers that I pin to see the views. ( I keep a listing with tallies to see about views)
This is how I received a really nice sale in December that actually came from Pinterest. (It was a high end sweater and she was happy to negotiate on the price. Win/win.
I know on my 2 other Pinterest accounts, I do pin my stores items and I have interesting boards to correspond to them. I have one for my quilt/supplies shop and then I have boards that have crazy quilt styles, quilt patterns, and also included a board of fellow eBid sellers. There needs to be a mixture of things to attract.
I hope this helps.
PS I will be back to pinning in January.

We rarely have sales from Pinterest. But to be honest, I think it's worth pinning because every time you do, there's a link back to your site, and the search engines love all that stuff, so your sales may come indirectly from Pinterest. Someone might pin your stuff on to their page and their friends might see it ... That's my 10p worth, so I hope it helps
I'd do it...........I use pinterest a lot, for example, and often check out things I see on it.
Ta-Ta for now!
