Jill, a teacher reprimanded the teenager in the school corridor, "Do you mind telling me whose class you're avoiding this time?"
"Like," the young teen replied, "uh, see, okay, like it's like I really don't like think like that's really important, y'know, like because I'm y'know, like I don't get anything out of it."
"Oh I see, It's English class, isn't it?" replied the smiling teacher.
James talked with a homeless man and asked him how he ended up that way. The man replied, “Up until last week, I still had it all. I had plenty to eat, my clothes were washed and pressed, I had a roof over my head, I had HDTV and Internet, and I went regularly to the gym, the pool, and the library. I was working on my Open University degree course. I had no bills and no debt. James felt sorry for him, so he asked, “What happened? Drugs? Alcohol? Divorce?”
“Oh no, nothing like that,” the man replied. I was unexpectedly paroled.”

You don't know anyone whose been in prison do you? I know this is a joke thread but I'm sick of this story. They have to pay for TV. They get no access to the internet whatsoever. They don't even get vaguely adequate bedding unless someone sends it in for them (so the rich are ok, even in prison).
Madelaine
4 shops for Cats Protection & Prospect Hospice
My Postcard Shop
BK Stamps for Philatelic listings
& Yarnalong for craft patterns
and
Lotzabitz -anything that doesn't belong in one of the other shops.
Yes,I know current & ex prisoners.
Did it say in the joke that it was free? They have to pay for TV.
Some prisons do give them internet, albeit for education purposes. They get no access to the internet whatsoever.
Clean sheets & pillow cases are provided along with blankets, what's not adequate about that?Duvets can be sent in by family or friends or can be bought with earnings. You don't have to be rich to buy a duvet set! They don't even get vaguely adequate bedding unless someone sends it in for them (so the rich are ok, even in prison).
I'm surprised you didn't comment on the "homeless" part of it.In reality no parolee would be allowed to live on the streets.
At the end of the day it is a joke.Jokes,by their nature, have exaggerations.
