I was in the post office the other day and overheard (poorly, with the masks and screens)an exchange between the assistant and someone with a quite large parcel. The sender queried the amount quoted as too low. The assistant said something about a new price bracket for medium parcels, 2nd class between 2 - 5K -- £8.99(?).

I'm pretty sure the last time I sent a medium parcel that went over 2K the cheapest option was Parcelforce 48 at something like £13.

It all needs checking for the details but perhaps another step in the right direction?

They're the same as quoted in my prices leaflet from 23 March 2020 - I think it was only international rates that changed in September.

Hadn't spotted it though, it's a while since I mailed a heavy parcel.
